In a music market of over-saturated happy folk/pop tunes (which I love BTW) it's great to hear something raw and hardcore! I stumbled across Iceage randomly on Spotify a few days ago and they blew me away.Their music is like a sledgehammer to the face!

The first track on the LP is  ECSTASY and it's incredible! It feels liek a throw back to all the hardcore punk from the late 70s/early 80's. This track sets the stage for the onslaught of incredible tracks to follow! PLEASE GIVE THESE GUYS A LISTEN! I can't wait for them to come back to ATX!

Stupid Fruity Swag!!!!!!!

So here lately, I have been listening to a mixtape by the name of D.R.U.G.S.!!!! It's the debut effort from an awesome hip hop trio by the name of Flatbush Zombies. Like most of the music out of BK,Flatbush Zombies offer a little bit of everything, hip hop-wise anyways. Just LISTEN to it, it's DOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last nights Dana Falconberry show was stellar!  Her folk/pop tunes feels like a cross country road trip or walk through a forest. The vocal harmonies remind me of sweet song birds, and come together in a powerful way. :)

SXSW-Auditorium Shores

SXSW is a festival that's bigger than Christmas for me! I look forward to it every year, and count down the days until it's arrival! One main reason I love the festival is the amount of free gifts artist give. :) By gifts I mean FREE music for the public! I just want to give a huge THANK YOU to SXSW for providing Austin with great music. !

I just got a little excited with this announcement this morning!
