Royal Bangs

WOW! I stumbled across Royal Bangs (Knoxville, Tennessee)  on a random YouTube frenzy. I'm very surprised that I haven't heard d this band sooner! They have a crazy indie/experimental/rock sound that I just love! Its STUPID GOOD! :P  The use of synths and guitar fuzz blend together into a super fun mixture! I'm kicking myself for not seeing them during SXSW.  I have a strong feeling these guys will be back in Austin, and selling out  local venues soon. Their sound is an onslaught of sound that is to badass to be ignored! Keep an ear out for this talented group!

Pissed Jeans

I know these guys have been around for a while, but damn! I just now discovered Pissed Jeans right before SXSW 2013! These hardcore fucks from the the east , and are fueling the flame for hardcore/punk! They are the band that I needed in my life for sometime now! Their lyrics are just funny, intelligent and compliment the explosive sounds from full band!  They are for sure one of the front runners of the modern hardcore scene! I hope they will be around for years to come!  GO BUY THEIR ALBUMS!

Their video for False Jesii Part 2 is just fucking funny and amazing! The lyrics to this song just kick so much ass!

Also, buy their latest Honeys from the SUB POP records website ! You will not be disappointed if you are a fan of hardcore!

The Skins!!!

Yo What Up!!!!!



So I recently found out about a band called The Skins !!!! They were here in the fine city of Austin for SXSW this year and before that touring Europe. The band is made up of a  trio of siblings and two friends...it sounds like Black Sabbath with Zepplin guitar solos and a dash of funk. Can't wait to see what these guys do next. Oh! they also hail from the fine borough of  Brooklyn.

Wild Pack Of Canaries

Wild Pack Of Canaries is an obscure psy/prog/pop group from the land of Long Beach. They have such a stupid good sound :)! They have everything from melodic math-rock influenced guitar, to horns, and synthesizer. I can hear the De Facto/Mars Volta/Hella-ish  influences in their tracks! Also sprinkles of Beatles and Bowie over the entire album " In the Parian Flesh." They're full of creativity and paint awesome pictures with their sound. I'll be keeping up with this guys!
